About the role
As Kernel’s Founding DevRel Engineer, you’ll be our technical storyteller and community architect. You’ll turn complex infrastructure into “wow” moments through demos that developers can’t help but share. We need someone who speaks developer truth, fosters our enthusiastic community, and builds genuine excitement for what AI agents can actually do in the real world. You’ll also play a foundational role in how we build Kernel’s culture.
What you’ll do
- Build demos that make developers think “damn, that’s cool” – things that showcase our platform in ways nobody expected
- Own our voice on Twitter and Discord – cutting through the AI hype with authentic takes that resonate with builders
- Ship fast, functional examples that developers can fork and actually use
- Get our platform into the hands of interesting builders and become their go-to troubleshooter and champion
- Share raw, unfiltered user feedback with our team to inform what we build next
- Shape Kernel’s hiring decisions and culture as we grow

Hiring process
We have a simple process focused on real world collaboration and jointly getting to know each other:

- Paid work trial (2-3 days if full-time, 1-2 weeks if part-time work trial). You’ll work directly with our team to ship a real feature, join our team meeting, and see exactly how we work effectively.
