About the role

As Kernel’s Founding DevRel Engineer, you’ll be part builder, part evangelist, and fully embedded in the developer community.

This is a hands-on engineering role: you’ll spend ~50% of your time coding open source tools, demos, and SDKs and the rest helping developers succeed. You’ll be the Alex Albert of Kernel, pushing the AI industry forward by showing what is possible.

What you’ll do

  • Build OSS tools, libraries, and integrations that make Kernel’s devEx more powerful and easier to use
  • Ship unexpected demos and experiments that showcase what agents can do with Kernel
  • Help define our open source roadmap and shape developer-facing APIs and SDKs
  • Engage with the community on GitHub, Discord, and Twitter, answering questions and amplifying cool projects
  • Get our platform into the hands of early users and help them succeed
  • Influence Kernel’s culture, product, and direction as a founding team member

Hiring process
